Fuck Winter

Winter is not playing. She was just fucking with us all, just chilling in the cut, luring us into believing that it was gonna be a mild winter. "Gotcha bitches!"

I hate the people who say they love the winter. You're lying through your teeth. Or self delusional. People weren't meant to live like this--hell, most animals weren't meant to live like this. Bears hibernate. Birds migrate--fucking birds, about the dumbest creatures on this planet, fly south for the winter. The worst part is that there is no comfortable way to dress in the winter either. It's a classic catch 222. Its freezing outside, so you bundle up in thermals, hoodies, and parkas, but inevitably end up with swamp ass when you get inside because the heat is always set at slow roast. If you skip the thermals or some layers, then you run the risk of losing a testicle.

We are about as prideful as we are stupid, hanging on to some abstract loyalty to a geographic location, believing that it somehow authenticates our experience in New York. And yet, after all that.....I find myself freezing here too.

But, it doesn't mean I can't think of the sun......
